However, Mzansi gave her radio mix a nod, with many trying to connect the dots if she joined the station. After all, Pearl Thusi is a jill of all trades and has an illustrious career to show it.

Rumour mill alleges that Pearl Thusi has joined the station for the month of April. On the other hand, DJ Sonic’s Instagram story left many wondering if Pearl Thusi was joining the Midday Connexion Crew.

The DJ posted on Instagram stories, “Catch @pearlthusi this April blessing us with doo sounds on Wednesday with #WomenCrushWednesday mix.” Rumour mill has it that she will be part of the show for April. However, Pearl Thusi and Gagasi FM have yet to address the rumours.

However, the Midday Connexion Crew has been credited for playing and giving several artists exposure, and this has quickly become the show’s trademark.

Last week, the Queen Sono actress took to Instagram to announce her first international gig. The gig was in Zambia, where she played a guest DJ. Lately, she has been busy and booked. No doubt Pearl Thusi has been receiving some endorsements from fellow DJs, including DJ Zinhle.

DJ Zinhle took to X, formerly Twitter, to show Pearl Thusi some love. She posted, “My new favourite DJ: Mamma Pantha @PearlThusi we are going to have so much fun [sic].”

After adding DJing to her resume, Pearl Thusi posted on Instagram, “Delay is not denial. Trust in the process. I’ve made a dream come true. Whether this makes sense to you or not, worry about yourself and make your dreams come true. I pray this convinces you to never give up on your goals [sic].”

“I was always so worried about what everyone would say about this decision for nearly a decade. Angisanandaba nezinkulumo zabantu. I practised until I couldn’t stand it. I’m so happy because I overcame the fear of judgement, forgetting that only God has the right to judge me. I’m free,” added Pearl Thusi.

She joins a host of female A-listers who recently added DJing to their resumes, including Eva Modika
