RIP: Limpopo comedian Kagiso Ramoshai dies

28-year-old comedian and content creator Kagiso Ramoshai passed away this morning after being involved in a car accident.


 

KAGISO RAMOSHAI DIES
The family of the Limpopo-born comedian Kagiso Ramoshai aka The Pope confirmed in a statement that he died on Sunday, 14 April.

His brother Tshepo Ramoshai revealed in a Facebook post that funeral arrangements will be confirmed soon.

“It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Kagiso “Pope” Ramoshai. In this time of grief, we appeal for your compassion, space and time to congregate as a family. Funeral arrangements will be announced soon.”

Sunday World reports that Limpopo Artists Movement (LAM) also confirmed his passing in a statement.

“It has learnt with shock and dismay of the passing of one of the province’s rising star Psalmist Kagiso Ramoshai who was popularly known as The Pope especially on social media”.

“Kagiso carved an inspiring name for himself starting from the humble beginnings of music recording, radio broadcasting until he rose to prominence through the display of his many talents,” said the organisation.

The 28-year-old content creator was involved in a car accident which included eight cars, between Madiba Park and Legae la batho outside Polokwane.

The publication adds that Ramoshai is also a former University of Limpopo community station Radio Turf presenter.
