Rasta pays tribute to Nollywood actor, Mr. Ibu.

Nollywood legend John Ikechukwu Okafor, often known as Mr Ibu, died this past weekend in hospital, and famed painter Rasta The Artist — has since paid tribute to him with an artwork.

Rasta On Thursday, March 7, the Artist shared a portrait of Mr Ibu on his social media pages. This comes after the Nigerian actor passed away after a long battle with sickness.


 

 

 

“RIP Mr_ibu Nigerian🇳🇬 legendary actor🎬 Nollywood will never be da same again. It’s a wrap,” Rasta The Artist captioned his post.According to the Daily Post, the famed Nollywood actor passed away on Saturday afternoon at Evercare Hospital in Lagos State. He was just 62 years old when he died.
In the early 1990s, Mr Ibu lived in a one-bedroom apartment with a friend, the Premium Times in Nigeria reported. He was allegedly kicked out of the apartment.

Homeless and financially strained, Mr Ibu is said to have ran into a movie audition where he met Pete Edochie, and the rest, as they say, is history.Social media reacts to Rasta’s artwork.
