‘Confused’: LaConco on Jacob Zuma, ‘Real Housewives of Durban’

Reality star Nonkanyiso “LaConco” Conco, who stars on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, previously opened up about her time on the Real Housewives of Durban and her ex-fiancée Jacob Zuma.


 

LACONCO OPENS UP ABOUT ‘REAL HOUSEWIVES OF DURBAN’
Reality star and TV host, LaConco previously opened up about her previous relationship with the father of her child, Jacob Zuma, via a series of Instagram Stories. This was before the release of the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. The reality series is a spin-off reality series from various Real Housewives shows in South Africa, including Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Pretoria, and Gqeberha

LaConco revealed that at the time of filming the Real Housewives of Durban she herself was confused about her marriage. The reality star was seeing Zuma for four years since 2012. She also revealed that they had gotten engaged in 2016 and had their lobola negotiations. The Real Housewives of Durban season one premiered in January 2021.

LaConco went on to explained that at the time she also had her son to take care of. The reality star welcomed her son, who she shares with Zuma, Shakaumuzi in 2018.

“Real Housewives of Durban! Now I want you to imagine this, you are in a marriage that you yourself is confused about it. You have a son to take care of, you are broke, you have media, and people just following to see your life and this opportunity comes,” she wrote.

THE REALITY STAR: ‘THIS COUNTRY WAS HARSH ON ME’
LaConco went on to explain that during the filming of Real Housewives of Durban, she was provoked by some cast members and felt like Mzansi was harsh on her.

“I refused to be part of this show because I knew my state of emotions, at the end I was there, and some cast members provoke me to speak what they wanted to hear, this country was harsh on me,” she continued.

She went on to say that some of her fellow cast members thought she signed an NDA but the truth was that she was just not ready to speak.

“Some said I signed an NDA to not speak about the former or I’m living a lie. Let me clear this today, the only truth is that I was going through emotions and wasn’t ready to speak because I believe speaking while bleeding is dangerous,” she added.
