NOLWAZI SHANGE CONFIRMS DIVORCE FROM MZWANDILE NGUBENI
“It’s sad but yes we have gone our separate ways. We are in the final stages of the divorce,” Shange said.

The Outlaws actress no longer uses the Ngubeni surname on her social media accounts. She also no longer wears her wedding ring.

“We have been together for 13 years with children and we came to the decision together to separate amicably. I mean this is a person I once loved and cared deeply for. I would never want to go into detail about what happened and paint him in a bad light. I always want him to be great and do well and hopefully one day, he finds love again and for me to move on,” she added.

According to Shange, who is a South African Film and Television Award winner, she is now rebuilding her life.

“I will always put my family first, my children, him, and protect what is close to me. With the divorce almost final, I am rebuilding. I have had time to cry,” she explained.

The actress added that she has not fully healed from the separation, but vowed to always do all she can to protect Ngubeni’s reputation.

“I have not completely healed but I am getting there. I am in a good place. I have support from family. My job now is never to shame him but to always protect his reputation and what is mine.”

TWO WEDDINGS AND TWO KIDS
The former Scandal! actress and her estranged husband got married in 2016. A year later, they welcomed their first child together – a baby boy named Ntsika – TshisaLIVE reported. The pair have two children in total.

“We are happy and feeling blessed. It all happens at the right time because we got married last year. We feel that it happened in God’s time since we were not even trying to have a baby. But we welcome the blessing with both hands,” Ngubeni said at the time.

The TV stars got married again in 2021. At the time, Shange explained that they only had a small lunch when they tied the knot in a civil ceremony in 2016.

“Five years ago we signed and had a lunch at our house with close friends and family. This year we decided to celebrate,” she wrote on Instagram.
