HALALA! TYLA ARRIVES AT HER POP-UP STORE AT MALL OF AFRICA
Soon after landing at the O.R. Tambo International Airport on Saturday, 30 March, Tyla received a hero’s welcome from her fans, family members, and more. Since then, she has also won a new award. She bagged herself an award at the South African Cultural and Creative Industry Awards ceremony. The beloved singer walked away with the Best International Act Award at the event.

While accepting her award during her speech, the Water hitmaker revealed that she has not been to home since last year, Christmas. She admitted that she is glad to be back home. On the other hand, she also said she is happy to be representing South Africa and Amapiano music internationally.

“I am so happy to be home. The last time I was home was Christmas. I am so happy to be here celebrating all creatives. I am so proud of all creatives and Amapiano music. I am so happy to be one of the artists to represent us while we are overseas,” she said.

The 22-year-old singer was spotted arriving at her pop-up store in Johannesburg on Tuesday. She was surrounded by her team and police officials as she greeted a bunch of her. In the clip, the fans can also be seen following her all the way to the store while taking videos and photos of her.

According to IOL, one of Tyla’s fans, Mayrigh Snyman said he travelled almost three hours from Mpumalanga to see the singer. Some of the fans at the mall are said to have also gotten their vinyls signed by the star and couldn’t contain their excitement.

THE SINGER’S CAREER CONTINUES TO TAKE OFF
Tyla is said to have teamed up with Sony Music Africa and Spotify Africa to present the pop-up event, Slikour On Life reported. The event was also said to be in honour of the singer’s successful debut album launch.

On the other hand, Tyla’s new album is dominating the Afrobeats chart in the United States, ECR reported. Several tracks from her album are said to have already been streamed millions of times on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.
