American TV personality Oprah Winfrey stunned her millions of fans when she stepped onto the red carpet at the The Color Purple premier earlier this year. Her dramatic weight loss was a shock for many who instantly wondered what she had done to achieve the slimmer, more fit body.

The veteran talk show host has tried various methods to lose weight but always ended up picking up again.

The millionaire philanthropist wore a figure-hugging purple gown which certainly left tongues wagging.

Answering many people’s questions, the star told People Magazine that she has been using weight loss pills.

“The fact that there’s a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for,” she said.

This week, her transformation was hot on the lips of many after she shared content from her sit down with US media personality Jimmy Kimmel.
