Skeem Saam actor Patrick Seleka opened about abusing his wife.
But his life has changed since then.
At the time, he posted a video saying he had contributed to his wife’s depression and apologised.
“I have been very, very, very emotionally abusive, I should say, and it took me a while to see that.
“I’m coming out to her, and to her family, and to everyone that I humbly apologise for everything that I’ve done,” he said.
The actor, aged 32, who plays Kat on the SABC 1 show, told Daily Sun that a lot happened in 2023, not only the bad but also the good.
He launched his cooking show, The-Cook-A-Long, on Netflix.

“The past year has been perfect for me. It has been great, I must say. Life has moved on, and I’m happy now (he said while pointing to his new partner, Tshepang). The other thing is that my cooking show has also been nominated for a South African Television & Film Award (Safta),” he said.
The actor said he was proud of himself for being nominated.
The show is nominated for Best Lifestyle Programme.
“This is my first award nomination, and it’s one of the biggest nominations, and I’m proud. The cooking show was inspired by my character on Skeem Saam. I fell in love with it. My bosses there told me to try it and see what I can do, and that show is what we gave birth to,” Patrick said.
The actor is also a DJ, and he’s working on an EP.
“I’m working on my EP, which will be coming out soon. It’s not complete yet, but we hope to finish it soon. I don’t want to reveal too much about it until it’s ready, but it’s coming soon,” he said.
