Over the years, he has opened up about his woes, from being a laughing stock to failing to make ends meet. In the now-viral episode, Chabangu said he was down and out and couldn’t make public appearances because of ‘shame.’

However, against the episode, DJ Karri reached out to the former Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United. Earlier this week, photos of DJ Karri with Lerato Chabangu in all smiles made rounds.

The two shared lighter moments, and Mzansi gave the bubbly DJ’s gesture a nod. Sharing photos from his visit, DJ Karri said, “Today I visited mfethu Lerato Chabangu. The truth of life is that we all make mistakes, and everyone deserves a chance.”

A few days after his first visit, DJ Karri is trending again after his recent photos with Lerato Chabangu made rounds on social media again. DJ Karri took Lerato Chabangu out for lunch. The photos have gained thousands of comments and reactions since they dropped on the internet.

DJ Karri captioned the post, “On that episode of “I blew it” Lerato Chabangu said “he doesn’t wanna go to Malls anymore because they laugh at him” today, I took him to the Mall to overcome his fear.”

“One step at a time for “All you need is love,” added. Mzansi quickly flooded DJ Karri’s inbox with some comments on the appraisal.

No doubt, DJ Karri has been reaching out to several troubled celebrities. He recently reached out to DJ Mujava and famous street dweller Alostro. The two are currently in rehab and getting much-needed help. However, little is known about Lerato Chabangu’s situation.

Speaking about his fall from glory, Lerato Chabangu said in one of his interviews, “I blew all my money on useless things because I was always guaranteed a salary the following month. I used to afford expensive things..”

He added, ” When the Golf V came out, I bought it without thinking twice. And as you know, women will always be there, but my main problem was booze.”

Lerato Chabangu started his youth career with SuperSport United before making his Premier League debut with Pretoria University.

He went on to star for Sundowns, SuperSport United and Moroka Swallows. Lerato Chabangu was considered one of the highest-paid stars during the peak of his career, but he blew his fortune.
