AMALOBOLO
In March this year, the 28-year-old star shared that her partner had paid amalobolo for her.

At the time she posted images from the ceremony with herself in a traditional dress.

PLAYING ZITHULELE IN ‘ADULTUNG’
Lungile – who’s had a cameo role in e.TV’s defunct show, Durban Gen – plays Zithulele, her very first breakout role,in Adulting season one and two.

Speaking to SowetanLIVE about her bagging the role, she said: “The whole process was very overwhelming in the beginning. Last year, I had to move from KZN to Johannesburg after receiving four call-outs in a month. It was a big change for me because I wasn’t sure whether I’d get the role or not.

“There were so many of us. The producers would compare and thankfully I managed to get the role.”

Lungile, who is child and youth care psychologist graduate, shared that veteran actress Camilla Waldman is her ultimate muse. Waldman ispopular for her villainous character as Anne de Villiers on Generations.

“I couldn’t believe it when I finally got my first real role as Zithulele. This step in my life comes with a lot of growth and discipline. It made me yearn to hone my acting skills more to stand out in the industry.

“I told myself that just because I got this big break, that doesn’t mean I have to relax and take the backseat but more than anything, to work hard at sharpening my craft which is why I’m taking acting classes with Camilla Waldman – she’s my ultimate muse since I was a child and now she’s my teacher.

“[At the moment] I’m learning from the best in the game. With all that she’s taught me so far, I hope to land more challenging characters that showcase my capabilities,” Lungile told the publication earlier this year.
