Manie Libbok popped the big question to high school sweetheart Verna-Lee Arries in July 2023. He set up a cute little picnic on Klein Roosboom Boutique Winery in Cape Town.
“She said yes!🥂🤍💍,” he wrote.
The pair met at Outeniqua High School in George in the Western Cape and Arries described Libbok as shy.
“We were in the same business class and that’s where we met. He was very shy and quiet and I’m very bubbly so I was the first one talking to him,” she said in an interview with Insider SA.

The beauty is a Ballroom and Latin dancer, according to George Herald.
Arries seems to love her privacy. In an interview with Insider SA, she expressed that she loves her “normal” life outside of the spotlight.
She is a sporty person. Arries revealed that she did athletics and dancing in school.
The bride-to-be reportedly studied at Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth.
Arries seems to be dating Libbok for about eight years now, as he shared a six-year anniversary post in July 2022 on Instagram.
