As the season unfolds, viewers can look forward to exciting new additions to the show’s cast and a shocking exit by Funani, who is struggling to come to terms with the reality of killing his archnemesis. He leaves bustling Johannesburg for a new life in KZN and entrusts his legacy to his family.

According to a source who spoke to DRUM, Kunene left the show to take a break from the entertainment industry.

“He’s taking a break from acting because he feels it’s time to take a break from the small screen. He wants to take things easy and relax because he’s not getting any younger,” the source told the publication.

As Kunene gears up for his on-screen exit, expected before the end of July, viewers can look forward to the arrival of Faith’s (Winnie Ntshaba) ex-convict brother Msizi (Mduduzi Mabaso), whose arrival will stir the pot.
