Mom of two Rachel Kolisi celebrated her 35th birthday on Tuesday 21 January. She reflected on how she was surrounded by love and joy on her birthday, via an Instagram post on Wednesday 22 January.
Rachel also revealed that she initially wanted to “sneak through” her birthday and celebrate it better next year. Take a look…
“This is 35!! I was surrounded by LOVE and JOY yesterday and I’m so grateful! Thank you for every message, call and random hugs in the street,” she wrote.
“Crazy to think how desperately I wanted to sneak through this year’s birthday and try do it better next year! There’s so much to celebrate,” she continued.
FIRST BIRTHDAY SINCE SPLIT FROM SIYA KOLISI
This marks Rachel’s first birthday since announcing her split from estranged husband Springboks captain Siya Kolisi in October 2024. Siya and Rachel have two kids together – Nicholas (10) and Keziah (7). The pair had also adopted Siya’s two siblings Liyema and Liphelo when they were younger.
Siya’s brother took to Instagram to pen a sweet and touching birthday tribute to Rachel, dubbing her a “mother figure.”
In December, Rachel took Siya’s sister Liphelo on her family vacation to Sydney, Australia. Ahead of the vacation, she revealed that Liyema could not join because he has started working and did not have leave.
While Rachel celebrated her 35th birthday in Cape Town, Siya appeared to be at Antfield, with Springbok Retshegofaditswe “Ox” Nche, according to his Instagram Stories.
