‘The Queen’s’ Vuyo Ngcukana bags a role on ‘My Brother’s Keeper’

Former 1802 actor Vuyo Ngcukana has joined Mzansi Magic’s My Brother’s Keeper as Menzi.


 

VUYO NGCUKANA: LATEST ROLE
Entertainment commentator Jabu Mcdonald reports that Vuyo Ngcukana will play Fakazile’s (Zola Nombona) lawyer in My Brother’s Keeper.

According to TVSA, Ngcukana’s character, Menzi is a newly widowed attorney who meets her [Fakazile] when she hires him as her attorney.

His character, Menzi is reportedly a bulldog in court but a loveable teddy in his personal life.

The actor is the latest star to join the show after Generations: The Legacy star Muzi Mthabela.

Ngcukana is famously known for portraying the role of Schumacher on the Mzansi Magic’s canned telenovela The Queen.

He also previously starred in 1Magic’s 1802 as Dr Zuko and acted in Entangled as Sizwe Bam alongside Phuti Khomo.

‘MY BROTHER’S KEEPER’ SEASON TWO
The Rhythm World Production’s telenovela My Brother’s Keeper which stars Zola Nombona and Wiseman Mncube has been renewed for a second season.

The Broadcast Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA) May figures reveal that the telenovela received over 560 000 viewers.

Actors Sdumo Mtshali plays Donga Shabalala while Lindani Nkosi plays the patriarch of the Shabalala family, Mshengu.

The Rhythm World produced show tells the tale of a family drawn into a deadly succession battle of its own making.

It focusses on the traditional custom of Ukungena (a widow who cohabitates with the brother or any male relative). It also centres round Nqubeko Shabalala (played by Wiseman Mncube) who isn’t in love with his situation.
