Springboks star Eben Etzebeth converts his garage into a gym

Sharks and Springboks lock Eben Etzebeth transformed his garage into a gym as he fights for fitness. Eben remains on the sidelines, and his recovery journey has been extended beyond what the Sharks coach expected.

Eben, one of the strongest Springboks players, made headlines a few months ago with his workouts. Fans loved his dumbbell weight, as they could not imagine how heavy it was.

The Sharks lock shared his garage when it was still empty and had not been worked on. He went on to show the garage after its transformation, and it looked like a proper gym. In his caption, he thanked Evolve Fitness for a job well done.

“Evolve Fitness is turning my garage into paradise 💪🏼. Thanks for making training easy the last few months,” he said.

It includes a fitness bag, gym benches, and other gym equipment. Rugbylad’s statistics reveal his love for the gym.

According to Rugbylad, the strong Sharks lock benches weigh over 175 kg. They also revealed that he has special dumbbells that weigh 75 kg because the normal ones became too light.

As he has trained better in the last couple of months, Eben hints at a full recovery from his injury. He also shared a video expressing his desire to return to the pitch.

“Can’t wait to be back on the field🏉” he said.

EBEN TO RETURN SOON
Sharks head coach John Plumtree spoke about Eben’s fitness back in March, hopeful of his return.

“I am too scared to tell you anything positive about Eben as every time I have done that before and raised my hopes, we have ended up going backwards again,” Plumtree said.

He continued saying the lock is now back in training with the squad.

But he is training with us and is looking good. He trained well this week. We have the bye this week, but hopefully he will play for us at the end of the month,” He said.

Unfortunately, Eben has not been able to feature until now, and his fans and the team continue to wait for his return.
