In an Instagram post on Monday, 8 July, Maps Maponyane shared a look at his experience at the Durban July over the weekend.
The model and restauranteur – who is the son of soccer star Marks Maponyane – won the Best Dressed Male Award for his turquoise ensemble.
On his arm was the beautiful Shudu Musida, a former Miss South Africa. The beauty queen wore a gown imprinted with a special message to raise awareness of HIV and Aids.
Maps then posted a sneaky meme with the tagline: “You get it? If you don’t get it, forget it”.

Back in 2022, Shudu Musida and Maps Maponyane first sparked rumours that they were more than acquaintances.
As brand ambassadors of property development group Tricolt, the duo had been booked to work together on several campaigns. Over the years, fans noticed how the duo publicly supported one another at events. They’ve also left flirty messages under each other’s Instagram posts.
Fast forward to 2024, and the private “couple” would go on a baecation to the Seychelles.

It comes as no surprise of his rumoured romance with Shudu Musida, as Maps Maponyane is known for his love of beautiful women.
In the past, he has been linked to actresses Nomzamo Mbatha, Boity Thulo, and influencer Nadia Jaftha.
According to IOL, Maps has never officially confirmed any romance, often publicly referring to his female acquaintance as “buddy” or “bestie”.
