Ronnie Nyakale Bids Farewell to ‘Generations: The Legacy’ After 10 Years

Award-winning actor Ronnie Nyakale has officially left SABC1’s soapie Generations: The Legacy after playing Cosmo Diale for a decade. Nyakale’s departure was announced on Wednesday, August 28, with the actor citing a desire to explore more of his talent with other production houses.

Sources close to the show revealed that Nyakale’s character, Cosmo, wasn’t growing beyond his expectations, leading to frustration and a search for a better role. The storyline wasn’t aligning with his vision, prompting him to look for an exit plan.

SABC’s publicist, Carol Phalakatshela, wished Nyakale well in his upcoming projects, stating that the talent and dedication he brought to the show would serve him well in his future endeavors.

Nyakale’s departure follows that of other actors, including Muzi Mthabela, Kope Makgae, Buntu Petse, Karabo Maseko, Rebaone Kgosimore, Zizipho Buti, and Musa Ngema, who have all left the show in recent times.

The actor was unavailable for comment, but his exit marks the end of an era for fans of Generations: The Legacy, who will miss his iconic portrayal of Cosmo Diale.
