Rassie’s hilarious brush with female fan: ‘I got stage fright’

Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus has shared his hilarious encounter with a female fan – in the toilet of all places!

The rugby boss was all smiles after the squad won their clash against the New Zealand All Blacks 18-12 at the DHL Stadium on Saturday, 7 September.

The victory saw the Boks lift the Rugby Championship’s Freedom Cup for the first time since 2009.

RASSIE RECOUNTS FUNNY STORY OF FEMALE FAN
In a post-match media conference, Rassie Erasmus revealed a funny story about what happened off-camera during the game.

The 50-year-old claimed that he had to urgently use the toilet during the first half of the game but was worried when he discovered a long time outside the men’s bathroom.

After a female fan permitted him to use the women’s toilet instead, Rassie claims he found another one inside who was shocked to run into the Springboks coach.

He laughed, “She was dressed, and everything was fine. She turned around, and then I got stage fright.”

Rassie also used the opportunity to thank the Cape Town fans who brought a “lekker vibe.”

He said, “It’s lovely what the crowd did. You feel it. Even when things are not going well, they keep on singing. They’re always happy, even when you’re losing.”
