Zanele Sangweni is Sindi Dlathu’s twin sister.

Sindi began her acting career when she was a young girl. She auditioned for Ashell Road Fame, a prominent South African talent show, when she was 12 years old. While she did not win, the show got her some attention and gained her mentorship from one of Mahotella Queens’ band members.Three years later, the actress tried her luck once more, this time by competing in a nationwide miming competition.
