Family and friends have gathered at the Durban International Conference Centre for the funeral of Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule, following a special farewell for Connie Chiume.
KZN Premier Thami Ntuli expressed his gratitude to President Cyril Ramaphosa for granting Zanele a Special Official Funeral Category 2.The world of gospel music and South African radio has been touched with profound sadness following the passing of Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule, the esteemed founder of the Crown Gospel Awards and a beloved host on Ukhozi FM. The 52-year-old icon succumbed to a brave battle against lung cancer in the early hours of Monday at Parklands Hospital in Durban, leaving behind a legacy that will resonate for years to come.

The late Ukhozi FM presenter Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule’s husband, Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule, has dismissed rumours that his wife was bewitched to death on Ukhozi.
