Orlando Pirates poster boy Relebohile Mofokeng is topping trends after his old photo-wearing a Mamelodi Sundowns jersey made rounds online.
The photo, which has gained thousands of comments, was first shared on Facebook by Mzansi Football.

Fans were quick to flood the internet with their two cents, with many trying to connect the dots about whether Relebohile Mofokeng did star for Mamelodi Sundowns before joining the Orlando Pirates.
Despite the now-viral photo, The South African has since connected the dots about Relebohile Mofokeng’s blooming career.

The 19-year-old star started his youth career with Transnet School of Excellence.
Reports have it that his newfound fame on the pitch saw a transfer arrangement between South African Premier League sides Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates being met with Mofokeng joining Pirates with Siyabonga Mabena moving to Pirates.
However, little is known if the star was indeed in the books of Mamelodi Sundowns, but several photos of him wearing Mamelodi Sundowns have often made the rounds.
Several sources have it that he went from Transnet School of Excellence to Orlando Pirates.
The South African has since established that Relebohile Mofokeng played for a team that wore a Mamelodi Sundowns jersey—Amandl/Vaal Juventus FC—before joining Pirates.
In 2022, he joined Orlando Pirates Youth Academy and was promoted to the senior team in 2023. Since then, he has won big and become the club’s poster boy.
Relebohile Mofokeng has since been dubbed the next big star and has wowed many with his flair and command of the game.
He has been enjoying his stay at Orlando Pirates and has since received his national team call-up.
The 19-year-old recently topped trends after he wowed Mzansi with his flair during Bafana Bafana’s clash with Uganda on Friday.

In 2023, he hogged headlines after having trials with English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves). He is undoubtedly enjoying his stay with the Soweto giants Orlando Pirates.

Relebohile and several Premier League stars were part of last season’s PSL Player Transition Programme at GIBS.
Some notable players who enrolled at GIBS along with the Orlando Pirates star include Sandile Mthethwa and Reyaad Pieterse.
