Early Life
Lusanda Mbane was born Lusanda C. Sangoni on 16 May 1979 in Butterworth, aka Gcuwa, in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa.
Education
Mbane attended Clarendon Girls’ High School in East London. She later enrolled at Technikon Witwatersrand in 1998.
She holds a B.Com in Marketing from the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Lusanda graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Program (GIBS) in Entrepreneurship. She has a post-graduate qualification in Entrepreneurship.
Career
Her career started in the corporate space, where she worked her way up to the Executive level.
She headed Marketing Departments and started an HR Department in the Engineering and Telecoms industries.
The actress joined many advertising campaigns before she began to act. She has worked with Knorrox, Kellogg’s (Chocos), Brand Power (Ponds), Rama, Milo, and Dettol. She appeared in a lead role for McCain.
Mbane has done commercials for other brands – Google, Edgars, KFC, DStv, IDZ, SALGA, UIF, Enterprise, Blue Ribbon, Sanlam, African Bank, and ECSA.
In 2009, Lusanda Mbane appeared first in the SABC2 soap opera Muvhango. She portrayed Advocate Macheke in the soap opera.

After her exit from Generations, Lusanda played Joyce, a guest role, in season eleven of the SABC1 drama series Soul City.
Next, she landed a starring role of Zodwa in the SABC1 sitcom Abo Mzala. She left after season one, and Thembsie Matu replaced her.
The actress appeared in many soap operas in 2013. She played MaKhumalo in The Khumalos until 2015. In the SABC1 drama series Tempy Pushas, she played Aliah.
Lusanda appeared as a doctor in season three of the Mzansi Magic soap opera Isibaya. Aside from acting, she voiced and performed in SA Airways in-flight safety video.
