‘Life on the fast lane’: A look at Zakes Bantwini’s cars

With an illustrious career spanning years, Zakes Bantwini has wowed fans with his smash hit and has quickly become one of the most sought-after stars in South Africa.

Since his thrust into the limelight, Zakes Bantwini has been busy and booked. He recently celebrated 20 years of excellence with a sold-out gig honouring his musical journey and big wins. Several artists shared the stage with muso, who performed some of his smash hits.

ZAKES BANTWINI’S FLASHIEST CARS
However, despite his big wins, he has wowed many with his life of glitz and glamour, which he has kept under wraps over the years. The star recently topped trends with one of his flashiest cars, a Mercedes-Benz GLS600.

However, against the trends, The South African connected the dots about Zakes Bantwini’s alleged cars, which often make headlines. The Grammy award winner was recently spotted with a Mercedes-Benz Maybach GLS600.

The German beast boasts a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine worth 410 KW and 730 Nm. According to Mercedes-Benz South Africa, a GLS Maybach has a base price tag of R3.5 million.

However, price tags tend to differ because of different variables, including the year of manufacture and trims. Reports, however, have it that Zakes Bantwini’s now-viral GLS600 4Matic has a base price tag of R4.3 million.

Surprisingly, there are two models within the Mercedes-Benz GLS600 4Matic line. The other is a Night Series with a base price tag of R4.9 million.

SOFT SPOT FOR MERCS
In recent years, Zakes Bantwini has wowed many with his car taste. Last year, the star singer made headlines with his Mercedes-Benz AMG SL 43. He was seen with the car during the annual DStv Delicious Festival.

On Instagram, Mercedes-Benz South Africa posted a photo of the star standing next to the beast. The German automobile posted, “Rhythm meets horsepower as Grammy-winning @zakesbantwini cruises in the vibrant new Mercedes-AMG SL 43.”

However, Zakes Bantwini reportedly has a Mercedes-Benz AMG EQS 53 4Matic, which costs R3.4 million. Despite having a soft spot for some of the flashiest Mercs, little is known about whether he owns the car since he is also a Friend of the Brand Mercedes-Benz.

Zakes Bantwini’s wife, Nandi Madida, reportedly owns a Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe. It is considered one of the fastest models in its line. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 174 mph.
