Cheslin Kolbe’s wife, Layla Kolbe revealed that he returned home to her and their kids in Cape Town, South Africa and had to leave on another flight the next morning, via an Instagram post on Monday 3 June.

Springboks player Cheslin Kolbe revealed that he returned to South Africa from Japan via an Instagram Reel on 3 June. Kolbe plays for Tokyo Sungoliath in the Japan Rugby League One. So, he was based in Tokyo, Japan. However, his wife and kids returned to South Africa. Cheslin married Layla then-Cupido in September 2016.
The pair have three kids together – Kylah (6), Mila Sky (3) and Cayden (1). While Cheslin returned to the Mother City, Cape Town to reunite with his family, Layla revealed that he had a flight out the next morning. She expressed that for a split second, it felt like everything was normal again.
“This morning I had to tell my kids ‘it was all a dream’, @cheslinkolbe came home last night and had the first flight out this morning again! For a split second everything just fell so normal again,” she wrote.

WHERE DID CHESLIN KOLBE GO?
While it is still unclear where Cheslin had flown out to, it seems he had an interview scheduled. Sports broadcaster John Wallard shared a post with Cheslin, where he expressed what an honor it was to interview him.
“Great catching up and having the privilege to interview twice World Cup winning rugby Bok Cheslin Kolbe for upcoming activation. Cheslin considered to be one of the fastest and best rugby players ever, an absolute pleasure to interview. Watch this space,” he captioned the post.
