Born in Vosloorus, Gauteng, South Africa, on May 11, 1990, Kgaogelo Monama is a well-known actress and television personality, most recognised for her portrayal of Lerato in the Mzansi Magic drama Diep City.

Monama attended Tshwane University of Technology and graduated. Her theatre and film production bachelor’s degree in technology was her graduation.

It’s unclear where she attended high school and elementary school before her A-levels.

Career
She received her B-Tech in Drama and Film Production from Tshwane University of Technology. While there, she was cast in the e.tv soap opera Scandal! as Sarafina, a youthful, gregarious and gifted server at Cole’s bar.

This was her first television role. She made a guest appearance in Soul City 12’s premiere episode the same year.

After landing a role in the sitcom Thandeka’s Diary, which chronicles the (mis)adventures of 16-year-old Thandeka Zulu, she made a guest appearance in the e.tv action drama series Z’bondiwe the following year.
