Not so long ago, he took to the picture-sharing app to share his private life, which he has kept under wraps for years.

Tendai Mtawarira shared a clip of himself enjoying his family’s company at his lush mansion on the North Coast of Durban.

In the now-viral clip, Tendai Mtawarira recorded his son swimming before panning the camera to show his expensive house.

Against the post, Mzansi quickly connected the dots about his triple-storey house that boasts outstanding architectural designs. Surprisingly, the house was once featured in Top Billing Magazine.

It is an open, airy house with several glass walls, which allow more natural light. Tendai Mtawarira’s house also has high-beam fixed lights and chandeliers that drop from the high roof.

The house’s rafters are painted black to add vibrance to the roof. It boasts modern, contemporary designs and is furnished with designer furniture.

However, little is known about the house’s number of rooms. The house also has a large patio with a built-in bench, which complements the large swimming pool overlooking the scenic views.

Architect Tracy Levinson reportedly designed Tendai Mtawarira’s Dolphin Coast house.

Rumour mill has it that the architectures devised an architectural plan that best suited the estate’s demands, considering height restrictions and neighbours’ views.

Unconfirmed reports say the house has a market value of R25 million. However, this is not the first time he has made headlines with his triple-volume house.

Tendai Mtawarira is a celebrated former South African rugby player and one of the most capped props in the Boks’ history.

With 117 caps to his name, Tendai Mtawarira is one of the most-capped international forwards of all time and the 6th most-capped prop of all time. He also won the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

The celebrated star has won during his illustrious career that spanned years.

During the peak of his career, he starred for a string of clubs, including the Sharks in Super Rugby and Old Glory DC in Major League Rugby.

He has undoubtedly made a fortune from his career and from his rumoured business ventures after retirement.

Tendai Mtawarira has a security company and a community-based organisation named after him, The Beast Foundation.
