Zuki Lamani – the Cape Town influencer who was once put on blast by Rachel Kolisi for being “thirsty” towards her husband Siya – is trending amid the bombshell news of their divorce.
The couple has announced their separation after eight years of marriage.
In 2018, the student went viral over her posts about meeting the rugby star, which she admitted was her “celebrity crush.” Their meeting came shortly after Siya was announced as the first black Springbok captain.
ZUKI LAMANI TRENDS AMID SIYA AND RACHEL KOLISI DIVORCE
On Tuesday, 22 October, Siya and Rachel Kolisi dropped a bombshell about their separation and impending divorce.
The couple wed in 2016 and have two children, Nicholas and Keziah. Rachel also took on the mother role to Siya’s orphaned siblings, Liyema and Liphelo.
Although the news came as a shock to South Africans, social media soon filled with commentary about what went wrong. Many X users brought up Zuki Lamani, who was put on blast by Rachel herself.

Another @karlie_momo posted: “Phakama Zuki! It’s time for you to fetch that Kolisi glow. Siya is a free agent”.
A third joked that Zuki was ready to take advantage of the “transfer window.”
WHAT DID SHE SAY IN OLD POSTS?
In 2018, Zuki Lamani posted pictures of her meeting the star rugby player on her Instagram account. In the pic, the half-embracing duo stares and smiles at each other.
“That Kolisi glow,” Zuki gushed over the married Springbok. In another, Zuku claimed that Siya had flirted back.
She captioned one IG Story: “So ubaby (Siya Kolisi) said ‘dammit’ when I was taking these shots. Then offered to take pictures of me with my phone whilst Ii do the shoot”.
The pics quickly went viral, but for all the wrong reasons. Zuki – who admitted that Siya was her celebrity crush – was indirectly labelled “thirsty” by his wife Rachel, who left a comment under the post.
