Rising star Rorisang Mohapi has secured a role in e.tv’s most-watched TV show House of Zwide.
‘HOUSE OF ZWIDE’: MEET PALESA
The actress Rorisang Mohapi made her debut on House of Zwide on Friday, 15 November as Shoki’s friend and influencer Palesa.
Mohapi reveals to Sunday World that she’s joined the e.tv show to portray the villainous role of Palesa.
“I play Palesa, the villain. Palesa is an influencer, and her father is filthy rich, so she has a good upbringing,” she said.
She adds that the problem starts when her friend, Shoki (Shalate Sekhabi), introduces her to a clothing business.
The rising star who also plays a villain in Gqeberha: The Empire adds that both her characters, Lulama and Palesa are devious and loose.
“They always cause trouble between couples. She gets mischievous, and things start getting sour.”
Palesa flirted with her friend Shoki’s husband, Nkosi (Wanda Zuma) on Friday’s episode.
While her Gqeberha: The Empire character, Lulama broke up Thulani (Tembinkosi Ngcukana) and Anathi (Akhenime Mfenyana).
Mohapi also reveals that her latest character, Palesa has similar traits to Lulama but doesn’t have guts to kill.

RORISANG MOHAPI ROLE IN ‘GQEBERHA: THE EMPIRE’
The Gqeberha-born actress Rorisang Mohapi joined Mzansi Magic’s cancelled telenovela Gqeberha: The Empire this year as the villainous Lulama.
In the storyline, Lulama had an affair with Anathi’s fiancé Thulani, then killed Anathi on their wedding day.
Mzansi Magic pulled the plug on the isiXhosa telenovela in September after two seasons.
