Gospel star Fikile Mlomo grateful to be back on her feet

This after fans helped her by donating money for her spine surgery earlier this year.

When Fikile was admitted to hospital, she was unable to walk and was hospitalised for three months. She ended up needing spine surgery and gospel star Thinah Zulu led the call to raise funds for her.

She said the money helped her during the surgery and also helped her to go back to studio to record the EP to thank the fans.”This EP is dedicated to thanking fans. They must brace themselves because the EP is too emotional and I’m bringing back the Fikile they know. I want to thank everyone who contributed to bringing back my life after I was hospitalised. Big thanks to my brother in God, Thinah Zungu,” she said.
Fikile said she’ll release her EP as an independent musician as she no longer believes in releasing albums under record labels because of “exploitation”

She encouraged young musicians to study or have the necessary knowledge about music before they get into the industry.

“Education or having knowledge about music as a business helps a lot. I was once exploited and I don’t want other musicians to get exploited,” she said.
