Sometimes referred to as Ayanda Ngubane or Ayanda Ngubane-Borotho, Ayanda is a South African-based actress and former model. Between 1996 and 1998, she was educated in speech and acting at Brettonwood High School, Umbilo, KwaZulu-Natal. Then, she obtained an Integrated Marketing Communications Degree from the AAA School of Advertising from 1999 to 2001, specializing in strategic sales and marketing.
Ayanda Borotho left her position as an executive in the corporate world to pursue her acting career. It’s interesting to note that Thami, a schoolgirl on the TV soap opera Generations, was the first major role she took on in 1999.

In addition, she is well-known for starring in the 2007–2010 SABC1 sitcom Nomzamo. Borotho took Zinzile Zungu’s place in the second season of the TV show, and in Leon Schuster’s Mr. Bones, the actress was also a major character in 2000.

In addition to his acting career, Borotho is a skilled presenter. In 2014, she made the offer to host Mzansi Revival Hour, the SABC1 Gospel Music Show. She participates in workshops with Celeste Ntuli, her on-screen sister-wife, and together they empower women via conversation.

The well-known actress has starred in multiple films, receiving positive feedback from her audience. In 2009, she portrayed the supporting character Busi in the fourth season of the SABC1 series Home Affairs. From 2013 to 2014, she landed the main role of Phumele Zungu in the Mzansi Magic Telenovela Isibaya.
