EzoicIbokwe hosted a two-night performance of The Red Femicycle at the Soweto Theatre in Soweto on the 1st and 2nd of December. He took a break from theatre because it didn’t align with his line of work.After his studies, he performed abroad since local theatres had not accepted his work. He quit performing and moved to galleries and warehouses.
Albert made The Red Femicycle between 2017 and 2018. It was intended to comment on current events in South Africa and throughout the world. He spends most of his time performing outside of South Africa.
Ibokwe had shifted his work out of theaters due to what he called gatekeepers, who did not believe his work belonged in a theatre.
