Generations: The Legacy’ star Buntu Petse gets married

Legacy is officially married.

The rising star Buntu Petse who is renowned for her Generations: The Legacy character confirms she’s married.


 

Petse took to her Instagram account this past weekend to share videos and photos of her traditional wedding ceremony.

“#LondawedsBuntu. What a time. God continues to show His love through the spirit, smiles and song experienced that day. Thank you to everyone who helped make it the best day of my life,” she wrote.

TshisaLIVE reports that Petse’s husband Londa Mavundla popped the question in 2023.

The actress took to her timeline in 2023 to share photos from her surprise proposal with a heartfelt quote.

“Love has truly been good to me, not even one sad day or minute have I had since you’ve come my way,” she said.

NONTLE LEAVES ‘GENERATIONS: THE LEGACY’
Fan-favourite actress Buntu Petse exited SABC’s 1’s soapie Generations: The Legacy as Nontle Mogale in 2023.

Petse portrayed the daughter of Tau Mogale and Ayanda portrayed by actors Rapulana Seiphemo and Samela Tyelbooi.

The isiXhosa actress debuted on the soapie in 2020 together with Karabo Maseko, who played Luyolo.

The SABC confirmed her departure in a statement: “Generations: The Legacy, one of South Africa’s most beloved and long-running television series, is proud to celebrate the remarkable contribution of talented actors Buntu Petse, Karabo Maseko, Zizipho Buti and Rebaone Kgosimore.”

“Through their stellar performance, these actors have contributed to the rich history of the show and as such, their departure marks a bittersweet moment.”

Petse joined Netflix hit series, Miseducation as Mbali Hadebe after leaving the SABC1 soapie.

The Cinemaholic reports that the series focuses on Petse’s teenage influencer role Mbali Hadebe, who gets canceled on social media after the truth about her mother’s corrupt political dealings come to light.

She heads to Makhanda in an attempt to reinvent herself and gets admission to Grahamstown University, where she goes all out to succeed in her reinvention.

Mbali features on the popular campus gossip show called The Spill by Raeesah and runs an SRC campaign and her squad, Jay and Natalie inspire her to get back to the top where she thinks she belongs.
