First Christmas since split: Rachel Kolisi shares family photo without Siya

Mom of two Rachel Kolisi shared her first family Christmas photo without estranged husband, Siya Kolisi, via an Instagram post on 25 December.

This Christmas marked the first festive season since Siya and Rachel Kolisi announced their split in October. The pair have two kids together – Nicholas (10) and Keziah (7) and were married for eight years.

Rachel shared the annual Christmas photo which included her two kids, as well as Siya’s two siblings Liphelo and Liyema. However, Siya was not in the picture. Take a look…

Meanwhile Siya seemed to also be in Cape Town. He shared photos from The Saartjie Baartman Centre, where he volunteered on Christmas. Take a look…

“This morning, I had the privilege of surprising the incredible kids at the @thesaartjiebaartmancentre with Christmas gifts. The resilience and courage of the women and children at the shelter continue to inspire me to strive to be a better man and human being,” he wrote.

SIYA AND RACHEL ANNOUNCED SPLIT IN OCTOBER
Despite the split, Siya’s profile photo is still a photo of himself and Rachel and his biography still reads “husband”. When the pair announced their split in October, they revealed that they remain great friends and are committed to raising their kids with the love and care they have always known.

“We wanted to share some important news with you. After much reflection and open conversations, we have mutually decided to end our marriage,” read the joint statement.

“This decision comes from a place of love, respect and understanding that this is the best path forward for both of us. While our relationship as a couple is changing, we remain great friends and committed partners in raising our children with the same love and care they’ve always known. We will also continued working together on the foundation that means so much to us ,” read the joint statement.
