‘Do your thing’: Siya Kolisi praises Springbok starboy Sacha

Springbok captain Siya Kolisi has heaped praise on Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, who many have cited as his possible future successor.

The famous flyhalf celebrated his 23rd birthday on Saturday, 22 February.

SIYA KOLISI PRAISES SACHA FEINBERG-MNGOMEZULU ON HIS BIRTHDAY
In an Instagram post, Siya Kolisi wished Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu a happy birthday.

He posted of the Bok rookie who received his colours last year: “May it be a blessed one for you and a healthy one physically ❤️.”

Siya added: “Can’t want to see you do your thing.”

Siya’s birthday wish comes amid Sacha’s absence from his club at the Stormers. In recent months, the flyhalf has injured his knee, thumb, and shoulder.

However, Planet Rugby claims that the young star is “in the final stages of his rehabilitation.” The publication also quoted Sacha, who claimed he was ready to make a return on the pitch.

Of his role in the club, Sacha said: “These guys work so hard you’ve got to just trust the process. Not being anxious is the main thing, and just being positive and supportive of the team.”

FUTURE CAPTAIN?
Meanwhile, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu has had Springbok fans predicting that he will one day take the position of captain.

The 23-year-old was the former captain of the Junior Springboks and had a successful schoolboy rugby career that kicked off at Bishops Diocesan College.

Bok captain Rassie Erasmus has also fuelled speculation that captaincy may be on the cards.

He said of Sacha, who has made 8 test match appearances: “He trained with us at the Springboks with full-on contact sessions, and you could see the character of the guy.

“Obviously, we know him from our systems and our junior programmes. He’s captaincy material.”
