DJ Lamiez Holworthy reveals the biggest secret she has been hiding all her life

know what it’s like not to have’, these were the words of radio and television presenter Lamiez Holworthy-Morule.

She shared her life story in a recent podcast with reality TV star Mel Viljoen and talked about her success story.

The presenter is known for showing off her dance moves during her music performances at events.

She has hosted one of the biggest shows on SABC, Live Amp, and has appeared on Metro FM alongside Lulo Café on The Penthouse sessions.
Lamiez, who is married to rapper Khuli Chana, said she didn’t just become a star overnight.

“It’s surprising that everything that’s happening in my life now is due to years of hard work. None of it happened overnight,” she said.

“In 2010, my mum sat me down because she realized how frustrated I was and that’s when the migraines started. I suffer from chronic migraines. So, I am in pain every day of my life, but I hang in there and do what I have to do,” she said.

She said her mum made sure she learnt how to hang up.

“I owe everything I am to her,” she said.

She encouraged women to do whatever they want, regardless of their age.

“I think it’s important that all the women in the audience know that you should never put pressure on yourself, no matter how old you are. Because what I see with a lot of women is that they feel like they’re getting old, and they are too scared to start again. They are too scared to take the leap and start something new,” she said.

The publication reached out to Lamiez for comment, but she did not respond.
