Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, popularly known as Makhadzi, and former Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandela (TTM) Football Club owner, Lawrence Mulaudzi, could be walking down the aisle soon.
This is according to sources who told that the businessman asked for the singer’s hand in marriage in December 2023.
In the same month, the Petroleum, Oil and Gas Corporation of South Africa (PetroSA) chose Mulaudzi’s company, Equator Holdings, to bankroll exploration of its offshore gas reserves and rebuild critical gas infrastructure in a R3.8 billion deal with Russia’s Gazprombank.
FORMER TTM BOSS LAWRENCE MULAUDZI ASKED MAKHADZI TO MARRY HIM
According to ZiMoja’s sources, Mulaudzi and Makhadzi (who is the ex-girlfriend of DJ and producer Master KG) decided not to share their engagement news with the public. However, they have been spotted at posh restaurants and clubs in Cape Town – where Mulaudzi resides.
“Her PR team is trying by all means to keep her image clean,” the source said. “She is mostly based in Cape Town where Mulaudzi has businesses but travels to Joburg and Limpopo when she has gigs.”
When Mulaudzi popped the question, he reportedly gave the Ghanama hitmaker a diamond ring, but she has not been wearing it in public. He also allegedly sent a delegation to the artist’s family for lobolo negotiations.
Makhadzi’s manager, Maphuti Mothapo, played coy when she was asked about the engagement.
“This is the first time I hear about this from you,” she said.
HINT HINT?
In October 2023, the award-winning musician hinted at being in a relationship with Mulaudzi when she shared a snippet of one of her songs, Tshakhuma. At the time, Makhadzi played a version from the song and said that it was her man’s favourite part.
Makhadzi’s posts came four months after it was reported that she and the VhaVenda princess, Masindi Mphephu, almost exchanged blows in a bid to win Mulaudzi’s heart.
At the time, a source told the publication that Makhadzi had been invited to perform at the princess’ 31st birthday party hosted at Nandoni Lodge in Thohoyandou when a fight broke out. The Ghanama hitmaker, who was reportedly booked by Mulaudzi, is said to have stepped on Princess Masindi’s toes when she started flirting with the businessman. The source claimed that the musician had no idea that Mulaudzi was allegedly two-timing her.
Additionally, she shared a picture of her lover, however, he was looking away from the camera.
