Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 Chidimma Adetshina, is in celebratory mode after being appointed brand ambassador of Enugu State, Nigeria.
CHIDIMMA WELCOMES HER NEW APPOINMENT
The 23-year old was appointed by the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubisi Mbah, on Thursday.
She announced the exciting news on Instagram, posting photos of herself at the official appointment alongside Dr. Peter Ndubishi Mbah.
“I received the honor of being in the presence of the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubisi Mbah. Upon my homecoming, I was received and appointed as the brand ambassador of Enugu State. I cannot express my gratitude for all the great things I have achieved in my father’s land. Again… Nigeria, THANK YOU for picking me up when I was on my knees,” she wrote.

CHIDIMMA’S RESILIENCE EARNS HER AMBASSADORSHIP
In his statement, Governor Mbah said he chose the 23-year-old due to her embodiment of the resilience and determination characteristic that defines Ndi Enugu.
“Her journey to this remarkable achievement, despite numerous challenges, is a testament to the grit and perseverance that we, as Ndi Enugu, are known for. I am incredibly proud to congratulate her on this accomplishment and welcome her back home.
“Chidimma’s story will serve as a beacon of hope for our young people, particularly young women. Her influence will undoubtedly inspire others to pursue their dreams, and we look forward to engaging her in programmes that will empower our youth,” he wrote.
The model will represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico in November.
Her journey has not been smooth sailing as she recently faced backlash that forced her to withdraw from the Miss South Africa 2024 competition. This comes after an inquiry into her dual citizenship and allegations of identity fraud involving her mother.
