Actress Ama Qamata under fire after what she said to South Africans about Miss SA SA contestant,

Well-known Mzansi actress Ama Qamata speaks about the Chidinma Adetshina’s incident in regards with her participation in Miss South Africa 2024.

The actress broke her silence after Home Affairs revealed the model’s mom was involved in a fraud case, which further fueled South Africa’s anger at the lady.


 

Taking to Twitter, Ama slammed South Africans for directing their anger at Chidinma instead of the government.

“It is so unfortunate that Chidimma is a scapegoat to a much bigger issue in SA. If anything, this exposed the level of corruption taking place in government, we need to hold them accountable for allowing such unethical procedures to take place under their governance,” she wrote.

Qamata further explained her initial statement to avoid misunderstandings from the public.

“Let me be clear & leave no room for misinterpretation. The rage, hurt and disappointment of South Africans is valid, you’re not wrong or xenophobic in wanting to uphold lawfulness in SA. However, the anger is misdirected. Government officials sold your identities to foreigners.”

“Why are you not mad at them? Why are they not held accountable?? They are the ones who are supposed to protect you but instead are selling your identities to benefit monetarily,” she wrote.

RIP: Inside Malome Vector’s heartbreaking funeral as family and friends kiss him goodbye

Friends, family, and fans of rapper and songwriter Malome Vector gathered on Saturday, August 10, to bid him farewell at his final resting place.

The musician, whose real name is Bokang Moleli, will be buried in his hometown, Roma section in Maseru, Lesotho.

The service was being held at the Roma Christ the King High School ground before proceeding to the cemetery.

It was reported that the 32-year-old died in a car accident on the N8 in Bloemfontein, Free State, alongside musician and producer Lizwi Wokuqala and videographer Musa ‘Da Mos’ Nkondo.

Surviving the accident were two other occupants in the same car, including upcoming musician Puleng Phoofolo.

Two of the deceased have since been buried in Mzansi. Lizwi was buried in his hometown north of eThekwini in KwaZulu-Natal on 4 August, while Da Mos was buried in Tshwane on 30 July.

Controversial Chidimma Adetshina, a former Miss SA 2024 Top 9 finalist has found herself in hot water following the questions of her ethnicity. So, who is the contestant?

Since Chidimma Adetshina became a Miss SA finalist, there has been many questions about her ethnicity. As previously reported by the publication, Chidimma said that her father is Nigerian, and her mother is South African with Mozambican roots.

However, a bombshell statement by the South African Department of Home Affairs alleged that Chidimma’s mother may have committed fraud and identity theft when registering her birth. The 23-year-old was only an infant when the fraud had taken place. So, she could not have participated in the alleged unlawful act.

Chidimma has since dropped out of the Miss SA pageant, revealed in a statement on Thursday 8 August.

“I have made the difficult decision to withdraw myself from the competition for the safety and wellbeing of my family and I. With the support of the Miss South Africa Organisation, I leave with a heart full of gratitude for this amazing experience,” she wrote.
