LINDA SEBEZO: ‘I AM A VERY SIMPLE PERSON’
The Isitha: The Enemy actress Linda Sebezo has slammed social media users for criticising her for buying groceries at Shoprite, in a video shared by @_BlackZA on X.
“Hi guys. You don’t know what to talk about. When you talk about people, you say things you don’t understand. A while ago you said I was pregnant, then you said I was dead, now you have a problem with me for shopping at Shoprite.”
“Is there anything wrong with shopping at Shoprite? I am simple person, and a people’s person, that’s why I chose what I do, to entertain people,” says the veteran actress.
SOUTH AFRICANS REACT TO ACTRESS SHOPPING AT SHOPRITE
@MelikhayaL3006: “Some people on this app are crazy to think they can dictate where someone should shop. Just because they also shop at Shoprite. Mama didn’t need to explain herself.”
@EzamaCirha: “She has a point, rather save for AVBOB and shop like us koBoxer than coming here asking for your hospital bills to be settled.”
@DonaldMakhasane: “Kanti what kind of people should shop at Shoprite.”
@cozmino_: “Trying to explain yourself to X strangers for living your life is insane. Because they already believe in their own agenda. You can’t win.”
@SirMoosa_UTD: “There is nothing wrong with shopping at Shoprite in fact. I have both Pic n Pay, Shoprite, Spar & Woollies rewards cards. I ain’t ashamed of it. Black people have a long way to go. For real, leave the ma Linda alone please.”
