RACHEL KOLISI STEPS DOWN FROM KOLISI FOUNDATION
This week, Rachel Kolisi – the co-founder of Kolisi Foundation – stepped down from her position of CEO.

Although the foundation did not officially announce the news, it was revealed through another foundation, the anti-gender-based violence NGO, The Justice Desk.

It shared in an Instagram post on Friday, 28 March, bid farewell to Rachel in a special luncheon.

The post read: “Her unwavering support for our work, especially through the iNtsika yeThemba and Mbokodo Programs, has been truly impactful.

“We were saddened to hear that she will no longer be CEO of the Kolisi Foundation, but we know she will continue to do incredible things. Rachel, you will always be a GBV activist at heart, and your impact will be felt for years to come”.

The NGO wished Rachel Kolisi well on her “next chapter.”

END OF MARRIAGE AND FOUNDATION
In her Instagram, Rachel Kolisi seemingly confirmed the news after she removed “CEO of Kolisi Foundation from her bio. It now reads: “Student, Mom, Speaker, and Director.”

In 2019, on the eve of the Rugby World Cup, co-founders Rachel and Siya created the Kolisi Foundation.

The organisation officially launched in 2020 at the height of the Covid-19 lockdown and was active in helping impoverished communities in desperate need of food and basic supplies.

The organisation stated that Rachel was passionate about “empowering and encouraging women” through health, wellness, self-care, responsibility, and ownership.

In 2023, the mother-of-two was appointed CEO of the foundation. Barely a year later, Siya and Rachel would announce the heartbreaking news of their marriage split.

In the March/April edition of Women’s Health, Rachel has teased her “next chapter” in life.
