The South African music industry has grown drastically in the last 10 years, as it has finally managed to find its way to be among the best-producing music industries in the world among the Nigerian, American, English, and many other music industries that are producing in the world.
This has opened doors for South African musicians to be able to get their music to be heard and seen by the world, which has always been the one thing most musicians in the country have struggled with.
Nowadays, the likes of DJ BlackCoffee, Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa, Cassper Nyovest, Sho Madjozi, and Major League to name a few, have a way always of getting their music to be heard and seen by the world frequently which has given hope to musicians like Makhadzi and others that it is possible to get their music to be heard as well.
Makhadzi who is arguably the biggest and hottest musician in the country at the moment has been one of the leading artists in the country for the last 18-plus months, as everything she has touched has turned into gold and along the way has been recognised for the work and music he has brought to the industry.
The 26-year-old Venda, a Limpopo-born artist is currently touring Canada and the United States of America before going to the United Kingdom, and yesterday she was spotted performing in Vancouver, Canada where she was performing her latest hit song Change Magiya in front of thousands of people.
For me, this is all her hard work rewarding her, as she continues to set the bar high for other female artists in the country to reach with her workaholic nature.
If this doesn’t prove to any aspiring artists that if you work hard you are going to get rewarded, then nothing will ever do.
