Veteran actor: Uzalo rescued me

HE Burned through twenty years abroad, acting in various television and theater creations, including Bite the dust Wache, The Stoning, Afrika a Rhein.

Yet, when he returned home in 2010, veteran entertainer Ronald Mkhwanazi (63) from Katlehong, Ekurhuleni, was invited by hunger.

As indicated by Ronald, he was unable to get an acting line of work, until Uzalo safeguarded him early this year.

Presently, he is known as Simon Nsimbi – the right-hand man to Njinji, played by Thembi Nyandeni.

Ronald said he began acting during the 70s working with Mzansi’s regarded theater writer the late Gibson Kente.


He said when the Soweto uprising began, he exited grade 10 and he and his friends engaged in theater.

“We went to Europe to seek after our acting vocations however a portion of my companions returned to South Africa and I remained behind. I got comfortable America from 1983, accomplishing theater work,” said Ronald.

“In 1988, I moved to Germany. That is the point at which I fell head over heels for a lady to whom I got hitched later. However, a few things are not intended to endure. Our marriage finished and I needed to return home in 2010.”

With his worldwide acting experience, Ronald thought it would have been simple for him to find a new line of work.

“I moved between various auditions, with no karma. I was out of cash. On the off chance that you’re not working, you will not have cash. I didn’t lose trust since I realized something would come up. This happened until Uzalo protected me,” he said.
