Black Coffee is the stage name of Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, a South African DJ, record producer, and composer. Coffee founded his own record company, Soulistic Music, and released his debut album, Black Coffee, which featured R&B and jazz influences.

Behind the decks, Black Coffee isn’t exactly flamboyant. He keeps a cool demeanor despite the fact that the entire dance floor is going crazy. He won a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album for his sixth studio album Subconsciously at the 64th Grammy Awards (2021). Black Coffee creates laid-back house music with an unmistakable cool, restrained touch.

As always, the much loved and celebrated Deejay is kick starting his European tour this weekend. His first stop will be Rotterdam; where many will be dancing to his music come tomorrow. His decks will be on fire as always.

 

 

 

 

Black Coffee posted a picture of himself; all cool and collected. I guess he was trying to gain some strength and enjoy himself before the weekend gets busy. However Twitter police noticed something out of the ordinary.

A colorful clothes could be seen tied to the ‘bench’ that Black Coffee was relaxing on. Many Twitter users were surprised and thought that it had to do with black magic. Even though some did not see notice the clothes; alot of people were left puzzled.

The Zulu Chick: Yesterday I was shopping and they were playing your music. Beaming with pride I told all the shop assistants that’s Blackcofee. And they said no it’s Ibiza mix. I reiterated “that’s Dj Blackcofee! He’s South African and recently worn a Grammy.” They started congratulating me 😂
