Thandeka Zulu was born on November 25, 1991. She was born in Durban, South Africa’s Kwazulu Natal province.Thandeka grew up singing and dancing in Durban’s Hambanathi neighborhood.She began working with the Lindokuhle group when she was eight years old.She completed her secondary education at Nkosibomvu Secondary School in Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal.
She performed as a backing vocalist and dancer for artist Jae while in high school.AfroSoul was nominated for four South African Music Awards (SAMAs), Metro FM, and South African Traditional Music Awards (SATMAs), winning three of them, one for Metro FM and two for SATMAs. A TV show on SABC 1 that is rated as the most watched Telenovella.
She made a significant impact in South Africa as Nombuso in the South African telenovela Uzalo. Thandeka Zulu (Nombuso) was fired from Uzalo after being accused of having a foul attitude at work. “Thandeka is also a part of Emthonjeni Wothando, DStv, and The Girl Is Mine, which aired on e-tv in February 2015.
