When Lindiwe Makhanya joined etv soapie Scandal, she was a fresh faced teen who had so much potential.

Over the years her Lindiwe character grew with aplomb and she won the hearts of many TV viewers.

Sadly that Lindiwe character is set to be killed off tonight (Thursday 10 November 2022) after Makhanya revealed that she will be leaving the soapie.

 

“It feels like yesterday when Nomvelo with other teenagers from the National School of the Arts came to audition for Lindiwe, she was the shortest of them all yet the boldest and strongest in both personality and appearance,” said Grace Mahlaba, creative producer for Scandal!.

She added that they were very privileged to have worked with Makhanya throughout the years and her role changed some people.

In the current storyline, Lindiwe is going through a difficult pregnancy after being informed by doctors that she has pulmonary hypertension.

This news is devastating as she is given the ultimatum of making two choices.

She is then advised to choose between her life or that of the baby, and chooses the latter, which ultimately leads to the character’s death in tonight’s episode.
