Death has struck once again in the entertainment and media industry as the powerhouse, award winning journalist and a poet has sadly lost his life.
Although we know that we will die but we do not know when and how but death is something we will all go through.
However, be as it may, death is not something to say you are comfortable with or at peace with. It is very unusual and it is something that one can never says they are used to it. Each time death strike, it leaves pain and tears behind.
That is the situation currently as the nation mourns the death of the talented, most loved news anchor from SABC radio station, Ukhozi FM.
On Tuesday morning, it was sadly announced that Bongani Mavuso has passed on following short illness.
Mavuso was known for hosting current affairs show in Ukhozi FM where he also interviewed many politicians. He had his art of doing things when hosting these shows which is why he was most loved.
He presented current affairs shows on Ukhozi FM, all three of them which are, Ezanamuhla, Ezisematheni and Abasiki Bebunda.
Mavuso did not end there as he also hosted the weekend current affairs show called, Ezangempelasonto.
He was not only a journalist but he was a poet and a writer. In his Sunday current affairs show, he use to bring different poets in studio.
Mavuso also led the art segment in the weekdays magazine show, Jabul’ujule which is hosted by Dudu Khoza. Every friday, there was a segment about Art where poets would recite poems.
ANC and IFP in Kwa Zulu Natal shared their statements as they mourned his passing.
Kwa Zulu Natal Premier, Nomusa Dube Ncube defined Mavuso’s demise as a huge loss to the province because of his talent and skill.
