RIP| Mzansi’s popular musician passed away after allegedly being gunned down

By Nhlanhla Maseko

It is a bad weekend for those who were close to one of Mzansi musicians as they have lost one of their own.

DJ Sumbody with the real name Oupa Sefoka was a South Africa media personality known for being a musician. Oupa had been in the entertainment industry for sometime. He created a name for himself especially for songs such as Ayepyep and Monate Mpolaye which were loved by many. Besides having been a musician, he was also a producer and a business person. He has worked with celebrities such as Busiswa, Cassper Nyovest, Kwesta and others. DJ Sumbody has unfortunately passed on after allegedly being gunned down today in the morning.

A statement released by SumSounds Music confirmed his passing through a statement and said, “Artist and musician DJ Sumbody has died. Details of his untimely death cannot be released but tge artist named Oupa John Sefoka allegedly ran into an unfortunate incident that led to his passing in the early hours of Sunday morning, 20 November 2022”

“Details surrounding his passing cannot be disclosed as investigations are still on going. The Sefoka family and SumSounds Music management have kindly requested privacy diring this difficult time and will release a statement in due course”, SumSounds Music management said.

It is so sad that DJ Sumbody has passed away especially when it is alleged that he was gunned down just before his big event which was supposed to be done. This is indeed cruelty, how does one claim the life of another knowing very well that people are waiting for the event and he has a family to feed from the money that he would have made that day.

If it is criminals, they were supposed to have taken whatever and leave him, not kill me. But they says what is done is fine, if he waa indeed murdered then whoever responsible must be brought to book and dealt with.

May his soul rest in peace.
