It has been revealed by Daily Sun that Nomaswazi’s character will be replaced by Durban Gen actress Fanele Ntuli (who is currently playing the exciting role of Dr Zondo). “The casting deal has been finalized, after all the pre-recorded episodes have been aired, the new character will make their onscreen debut” – said the Insider. When contacted by the publication both parties have refused to give more information about the casting this includes Fanele Ntuli.

Is the storyline being revamped?

What continues to stun soapie fans is that Omuhle Gela is not the only one that has been reported to exit the show. Menzi Biyela and Nompilo Maphumulo are also on the firing line after reports that alleged their contracts were not renewed. On other news, Wiseman Mncube who is now the new Mqhele on The Wife by Showmax is slatted to make a return to Uzalo – he confirmed this himself.
