Minnie Dlamini left Mzansi in anger with what she posted on Twitter.

Minenhle Dlamini, known simply as Minnie Dlamini, is a South African actress and media personality. Born in the KwaZulu-Natal area to Jabulani Dlamini and Queen Dlamini, Minnie started acting at 3. However, it wasn’t until much later that she became nationally famous as an actress.

Her appearance in the celebrated series Generations: The Legacy in 2010 stamped her in the consciousness of film lovers across South Africa as an actress to look out for. She’s popped up in several other flicks since then, including Rockville.

Minnie Dlamini found herself in hot water after she commended the Economic Freedom Fighters Press. South African citizens came down hard on her following her Twitter post that was captioned “It’s lit #EFFPresser.” According to the Twitter users, it seemed as if Minnie Dlamini was an Economic Freedom Fighters underground member.

Even though some South African citizens were very harsh on her, some were in support of what she did. Below are some of the comments that were made by South African citizens on Minnie Dlamini’s tweet.

Nothing is lit here. What Julius Malema and the Economic Freedom Fighters did with our former president Jacob Zuma is what they want to do with Cyril Ramaphosa. Even the next president will still face money accusations from Malema and the Economic Freedom Fighters.

I knew it could only be self-haters that could tweet like this. They are an irritation, this lot, who lack logic and critical thinking. They always resort to hurling insults when logic fails them. This one must have a case opened against them.

I love it when artists take sides instead of staying on the sideline and going with whichever ship is sailing to the bag. Even though I don’t understand why Minnie Dlamini is saying it’s lit because, according to me, Cyril Ramaphosa and Julius Malema are all corrupt.
