Zandisile Nhlapo (born 24 December 1975) commonly known as Zandi Nhlapo is a South African entertainer, model, television personality, and actress.
She started in the industry at the young age of 17 and has gone from one level of success to another level of success
Zandi Nhlapo was born on the 24th day of December 1975 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
She has a difficult upbringing and trekked long distances to go for
her dance training as a member of The Whizz Kids dance groups.
She witnessed Apartheid in South Africa and today she is an inspiration to many young South Africans as she rose to the top of her field even during such difficult times.
She was one of the first set of black South Africans to host a television show.
Zandi Nhlapo started out as a dancer with the dance group The Whizz Kids. She performed with the crew and had to trek several miles from her house for rehearsals as a child.
She is a popular South African model, one of the first and best in the modeling business, she has appeared on the front pages of several top South African magazines like Y Mag and True Love. She has also contested in several beauty pageants and won most of them including Miss 707, Miss Sundowns, Miss Orlando Pirates to mention but a few.
She started her child-themed hair salon gaining inspiration from her grandchildren. She stated that most of the discussions held in adult hair salons are not good for children as one of the major reasons for opening a children’s hair salon.
The salon is named Mini You Mini Me. She started the salon in 2017 and it includes an area where children can play while waiting for their turn.
As an entrepreneur and businesswoman, she started a media and marketing industry, Liquid Image Consulting. The agency started out with events management before becoming a full-fledged marketing agency.
